NLWIC Best Practices Repository

What is the Best Practices Repository (BPR)?
The Best Practices Repository (BPR) is a collaborative initiative of NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC) and Magnet and funded by the Future Skills Centre. Employers and other labour market stakeholders can explore a wealth of knowledge on innovative new models and tools for workforce development produced from NLWIC’s funded research and innovation initiatives since 2017.
The NLWIC Best Practices Repository is a centralized hub of resources that all labour market stakeholders in Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond can sign up and access all of the NLWIC’s research and innovative Resources with models and tools for workforce development, developed to address labour market challenges and opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador, and to be shared with others beyond. In addition to a repository of these resources, the NLWIC BPR includes a Community of Practice (CofP) where members can initiate discussions and collaborations around workforce development challenges. NLWIC hopes the CofP will inspire replication and scaling to increase employment, employability and entrepreneurship particularly for underrepresented groups.
In particular, this project:
- Is a tool to house NLWIC’s research findings and deliverables which address labour market challenges and opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Hosts a conversation space where workforce researchers and innovators can contribute to workforce development topics, best practices, research insights and impacts, and new innovative models and tools for success.
- Makes accessible best practices for labour market stakeholders to become workforce innovators.
- Shares what NLWIC has learned to help labour market challenges and opportunities..
